Aurora House The Pas provides safe shelter to individuals & families in Northern Manitoba leaving an unsafe situation at home.

Each shelter resident receives a private room and families are kept together. All services are free and confidential, and no referrals are necessary.

What to expect

At Aurora House's emergency shelter, you will be met with...​

​

  • A safe, warm place for you and your children to rest

  • Meals and basic necessities

  • Emotional support from in-house counsellors

  • Assistance in obtaining protection orders, if desired

  • Referrals to outside services (in housing, health, employment, etc.), as needed

  • Practical guidance as you consider your next steps

 

Residents can stay at the emergency shelter for up to one month, after which we will support you through the process of securing long-term housing. 

 

As housing supply can be a challenge in Northern Manitoba, we have a limited number of apartments available in our second-stage housing facility, My Sister's Place.
