Second-stage housing

Transitional housing for women & families beginning a new chapter.

Emergency shelter residents typically stay for up to one month before long-term housing is arranged. Extensions may be provided depending on individual circumstances.

We understand that housing supply is limited in Northern Manitoba. That's why we built My Sister’s House: a small apartment complex where qualifying community members can rent a private unit for up to one year.

Access to My Sister's Place is subject to availability and the satisfaction of our qualifying criteria.

In any case, we will support you through the process of finding a safe place to stay long-term.

There are plenty of resources to which we can refer you, and our caring outreach staff will continue to support you long after you've left the shelter, if you'd like their help.
